Some conditions (PR)

- For those who are entitled to reside permanently in Canada. Must have spent at least 2 years in Canada (or working under conditions accepted by the applicable Canadian laws, if they are working abroad) within the last 5 years in order to continue to qualify for permanent residency.

Some conditions (Citizenship)

- Must hold PR status - Must have resided in Canada as a PR for 3 years in the past 5 years - Must have filed income taxes for each of the 3 years
- Must meet language requirement and pass the citizenship test if between 18-54 years old
